Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading the effort to implement and maintain the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program utilizing The Cenovous Quality Management Program (QMP). This position covers QA/QC compliance for: Fixed Equipment/ Rotating/ Electrical/ Instrumentation This position is key to maintaining & improving the plant’s successful execution of HOIMS and HRO principles.


Core Responsibilities

  • Project lead for QA/QC program implementation and sustainment.
  • Manage and monitor third-party personnel assigned to Projects.
  • Communicate (both verbally and written) and work effectively with other areas of Reliability and Maintenance and with all levels of site personnel.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and/or leadership role in a mechanical integrity program setting.
  • Knowledge of Pressure Equipment & Piping
  • Minimum of 3years of experience in specifically related to inspecting piping systems & pressure vessels
  • Strong working knowledge of oil and gas industry codes, standards and jurisdictional regulations (ASME, API) and the Lima Refinery EP's.
  • Possess knowledge in and experience with safe work practices in an oil refinery environment accompanies by a superior safety attitude.
  • PCMS (Plant Condition Management Software) desktop application X MS Office desktop applications
  • Meridium
  • Ability to read & interpret P&IDs and isometric drawings
  • Thorough understanding and experience with API and ANSI design and construction codes/standards: API 570, API 650, API 653, API 579, ASME Section I, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, and NBIC.


Education & Professional Designations

  • BS Degree in Engineering is an asset
  • 2 year Technical and/or College Degree is required
  • High School Diploma is required
  • CWI is rerquired
  • API 570 is required
  • Electrical training is an asset
  • Instrumentation Training is an asset
  • Rotating Training is an asset
