Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mechanical, Planning and Scheduling, the primary responsibility of the CMMS Technician will be to perform maintenance asset data entry in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and provide technical support to CMMS software users. The successful candidate must also support the Maintenance, Reliability and Integrity team in various activities.


Core Responsibilities

  • SAP entry of asset failure codes and work hours from daily updates from maintenance field technicians
  • Support SAP reporting and metrics and leverage corporate dashboards to better manage performance
  • Provide SAP training and develop related work instructions and procedures
  • Support improvements of SAP master data and create material masters for spare parts and bill of materials
  • Optimize SAP functionality to reduce transactional work and improve efficiencies
  • Manage SAP reporting and information requests
  • Demonstrates strong business judgment and can network, communicate, organize, and work in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage to make decisions and recommendations on technical issues
  • Superior working knowledge of the SAP Plant Maintenance module, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Good understanding of pipeline regulations, regulatory groups and various engineering drawings
  • Experience with rotating and stationary equipment monitoring, basic care and repair strategies



  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • SAP Plant Maintenance experience and training
  • Working knowledge and experience with reliability and operational integrity would be an asset
  • Minimum of 7 years related maintenance experience with maintenance philosophies, standards, strategies, practices, and processes within the energy industry
  • Knowledge of design and construction practices, pressure and rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation and controls and operating process principles
  • Plant and production operations experience would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills


Education & Professional Designations

  • Professional Engineering Degree, Technical Diploma, or Journeyman Trades Certificate from an accredited institution
  • For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.  A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate


Working Conditions

This is a full-time employee position based out of Lloyminster office.  Work scheduled is Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day.
