The successful candidate will workin Husky Energy’s Oil Sands department on an exciting new project at theSunrise facility. The position will begin in the Calgary office for initialtraining and then will migrate to the fly-in fly-out Sunrise facility.
At the Calgary office: 5 days week
At the Sunrise facility: 7 days on /7 days off
- Set up the lab, analytical tests and procedures
- Plant sampling and sample container management
- Sample analysis
- Data analysis and report writing
- Procedure writing
- Pilot plant operator back-up and support
- Pilot plant maintenance support
- Must be enrolled in a co-op/internship program with your post-secondary institution
- 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Chemical Engineer
- A valid driver's license (Full Class-5 License)
- Lab experience is an asset
- Available for a 12 month work term (September 2018 to August 2019)

This is a safety sensitive role andas such you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required topass the Husky pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.
As this position requires theoperation of a motor vehicle, applicants are asked to provide a recent (i.e.issued within the previous 4 weeks) original driver’s abstract, for thepreceding 5 year period, if offered the position. A valid Canadian class 5Drivers License with no restrictions (i.e. non GDL) is a requirement for thisrole.
Students moving for their work term may beeligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses.
Candidates must have their own means of transportation as there is no publictransportation in field locations.
