Husky is currently looking for an Operations/MOCEngineer to join their Heavy Oil & Oil Sands (HOOS), Cold OperationsEngineering department at their Lloydminster, SK location.
This position is responsible for providingengineering support to Production Engineering and Field Operations relating tosurface equipment and pipelines within the Cold production business unit.
This role will act as the facilitator for theEnhance (MOC) process on behalf of the Cold Production Engineering and Field Operationsteams. The role will have primaryresponsibility for generating engineered work packages for routine/typicalinstallations (single well battery setups, casing gas compressors, casing gasmeasurement, fuel gas measurement).
Develop a process for initiation of Enhance work(MOC) within the Cold production business unit. Maintain a facilitator (Enhance Manager) role to ensure timely and fitfor purpose (technically sound and regulatory compliant) designs areimplemented. Track progress of allEnhance projects (non-routine, routine/typical).
Develop standardized engineered work packages forroutine/typical installations. Generatesite specific work packages, which are based on the standardized packages, tobe issued for construction ensuring Husky's Professional Practice ManagementPlan (PPMP) is followed.
Assist Production Engineering and Field Operationswith initiating proper internal (routine/typical Enhance, non-routine Enhance)or external (Engineering Work Requests) processes to get their projectscompleted.
Assist with scoping, technical review and riskassessment/PHA of non-routine Enhance projects.
Update measurement schematics for routine/typicaland non-routine Enhance projects. Updatedrawings (as-builts) for routine/typical Enhance projects. Support HOG Tech Services with updatingdrawings (as-builts) for non-routine Enhance projects.
Our ideal candidate will have the followingqualifications:
Bachelor’sDegree in Engineering
Valid,Class 5 driver's license
RegisteredProfessional Engineer (P. Eng.) with APEGA or APEGS (will require bothimmediately after hire)
Minimum3 years of relevant mechanical, facilities or project engineering experience isrequired
Minimum5 years of experience in the petroleum industry, preferably in heavy oil andgas fields
Experiencein piping system design including supports
Knowledgeof field operations & associated surface equipment is an asset
Managementof Change knowledge and experience is an asset
Knowledgeof industry codes & standards including ASME B31.3, CSA Z662 and CSA B149.
Familiaritywith government regulations (AER, MER), corporate policies and procedures is anasset
Knowledgeof piping design and piping material specifications
Demonstratedproficiency in general mechanical design (P&ID's, line lists, etc.). General understanding of instrumentation,electrical (shut-down keys, single line drawings, etc.).
Sufficienttechnical proficiency to authenticate routine/typical mechanical work packages
Strongcomputer, analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
Ademonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Highlymotivated, positive attitude and desire to grow job responsibility
Strongorganizational skills, including the ability to plan and manage priorities
